- Sheriff’s Deputy Atwood at Meeting to Discuss Neighborhood Watch
- Sheriff’s Office doesn’t get involved in setting up Neighborhood Watch
- Suggests separating into 3-block sections with a captain for each section
- Deputy Ferry will ask Sheriff for more information to give us to get set up
- Discussion regarding fireworks complaint (Deputy Atwood consulted on same)
- Trash was picked up by partiers, but not the shells.
- Crestlake Homeowners’ Association (CHOA) has notified all authoritative agencies and has successfully performed due diligence.
- Individuals need to contact Sheriff’s Office to make complaints, not CHOA.
- Discussed CHOA liability regarding injuries – applies to commons areas only -fully insured.
- CHOA cannot enforce the law.
- CHOA will not file a civil suit against each fireworks display.
- Discussion of ponds
- Extra rip rap on Hawthorne Ponds is at no charge, per Daniel Ribbe.
- Daniel Ribbe to get the Board an estimate for finishing the North end of Hawthorne Pond.
- If drain pipe is clogged on commons areas, it is the homeowner’s responsibility.
- Sump pump lines need to be put back under ground.
- Send notice to Hawthorne Ponds residents regarding exposed sump pump lines.
- Jim Brock and Jim Page will prepare a notice and mail them out.
- Magnolia Pond has been treated twice with chemicals and needs aeration as soon as possible. Jim Page will put together a packet of information regarding same.
- Glover Pond and Park Pond have been treated once.
- Webmaster Report
- Mike Anderson to put together a newsletter in about four weeks.
- Mike will provide statistics regarding newsletter list, visitors to site, etc.
- Discussion regarding Pond Study invoice
- Jim Page will write a letter to the Village outlining our position on payment of invoice. Upon their written acceptance, we will pay the bill.
- Social Committee Report
- Halloween Parade is the only thing on their calendar.
- Request for $250.00 to cover parade expenses.
- Board will wait to make a motion regarding expenses until September meeting.
- Discussion of getting a loan for all pond work at once.
- Sandi Schopp and Mike Anderson will work on getting loan estimates.
- Discussion of complaints about motor home and boat storage in driveways and enforcement of covenants.
- Talk on both sides of issue with no decisions being made.
- Board will discuss this issue at the September meeting.
- Discussion of people running stop signs on Cedar Dr. as well as other places within Crestlake.
- Deputy Atwood offered to discuss this issue with Deputy Ferry. These areas will be patrolled more heavily.
- Discussion about petitioning the Village to work on Sportsman’s Club Road.
- Board will discuss this issue at the September meeting.
- Next meeting scheduled for September 11, 2008.
