  • Motion to adopt Minutes of the Homeowners’ Meeting of 8/9/07.

  • Review of Treasurer’s Report
    • Review of CDs and maturity dates.
    • $1,320.00 received from 2006 dues to date.
    • $29,955.04 received from 2007 dues to date.
    • Second notices were sent by McGladrey & Pullen on September 10, 2007.
    • Accountant to provide Treasurer with list of "unpaids" by the end of September.
    • Review of Financial Statement.
  • Motion to accept Treasurer’s Report.

  • Membership Committee advised of discussion with Chamber of Commerce through Jeanie Rourke and efforts to combine efforts to welcome new homeowners. Membership Committee will forward proposed flyer to Board for approval at next meeting.
  • Mike Anderson will post a poll on the Association website regarding a change in the date of the Annual Meeting.
  • Motion to spend up to $150.00 for Halloween parade by Social Committee with a report to be given regarding status at October Board meeting.

  • Pond Review

    • Ernie Monk suggested that Kevin Franzen stay 4 feet off of both Hawthorne ponds and Glover pond for safety issues. The Board approved said request.
    • Bill Hancock of Marine Biochemists was present as our pond advisor. He has worked on a couple of the Association’s ponds and was the latest to provide treatment to the pond on Magnolia. Below is a chart which summarizes each pond, the issues with each pond and the suggested remedies.

    • It was noted that Catalpa Court also has erosion and ruts.
    • Jim Page will get estimates for the west side of Hawthorne pond, east side of Glover pond and willow removal on Glover pond.
    • Jim Page will get estimates on chemical treatments for all ponds to get on chemical program.
    • Board will call a special meeting to authorize spending on estimates given, if they are available prior to October meeting.
  • Motion for Pond Committee to go to Village about the last three ponds being accepted and up to code, possible solutions, etc.
