CRESTLAKE ANNUAL MEETING
The Annual Meeting for the membership of Crestlake Homeowners’ Association is scheduled for Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. This important meeting will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 802 E. Douglas St. A regular meeting of the Board of Directors will also be held immediately following the Annual Meeting.
A major agenda item will be the discussion of possibility raising the association dues. Agendas for both meetings will be posted for your convenience at Crestlake.org and signs will be placed throughout the subdivision prior to the meetings.

PONDS AND COMMONS
The new aerator on Magnolia Pond has been shut down for the winter. It will be started in spring as weather permits.
Three new signs have been installed at the access points to Magnolia Pond. These signs designate the area as a private commons and list the rules. There were no signs installed previously.
The repair to the riprap on Grand and Park Ponds is on hold due to wet weather. It is hoped this work can be completed this year if the ground freezes. Trying to perform this work before a freeze will cause excessive damage to the surrounding turf.

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH
Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year to Crestlake residents from your Neighborhood Watch Working Group.
December has been a quiet month for Neighborhood Watch. The monthly meeting was cancelled to allow the Committee, Block Captains and residents that time for the many Christmas activities and tasks that people are trying to complete before Christmas.
The January Neighborhood Watch meeting will be held at La Luna Café on January 21. The meeting will again begin at 7:30 pm. If you are interested in having dinner or a snack during the meeting, La Luna Café serves Lebanese, Italian, Greek and American appetizers and entrees. At the November meeting, we particularly enjoyed the potato chips (which are made fresh at La Luna) that owner Steve Chahine provided for the people at the meeting.
The January meeting will focus on planning Neighborhood Watch activities for 2010. In addition to a Child Safety presentation and participation in the annual Crestlake Halloween Parade, suggested activities include a bicycle rodeo, informational presentations and social activities. We would like the plan for 2010 to include both adult and child activities and would welcome your suggestions. Please join us at the meeting and share your ideas and opinions with us.
Please remember that if you would like child care to be provided during the January meeting, this service needs to be requested at least 24 hours in advance, sooner if possible. This service is contingent upon the availability of a person to supervise the children so please contact Michele Guido as soon as you can so she will have time to locate a child care provider.
