HALLOWEEN GREETINGS, NEIGHBOR!

We want to remind Crestlake residents of all ages of the upcoming Crestlake Halloween Parade and Gathering on Sunday, October 28. The festivities begin at 3:00 and last till 4:30 and all Crestlake residents and their extended families are invited.

Parade participants are to meet at the Crestwood Park Pavilion by 3:00. No need to pre-register. Just don those nifty costumes and come on down to join your neighbors in a short, but very fun, parade route to be announced. The Parade will return to the Pavilion for snacks, games and a costume contest.

The Costume Contest will have ribbons awarded in the age categories of 0-2, 3-6, 7-10, 11-15 and 16-99 (remember, age is just a state of mind!).

This is a great way for the children to have another fun time showing off their costumes in a safe, friendly atmosphere. And the adults are encouraged to delve into their creativity and prove that you’re never too old to enjoy Halloween.

Regardless of whether or not costumes and parades are ‘your thing,’ we can use volunteers to assist with decorations, judge the costumes and help with apple bobbing and other fun activities. Just contact any of the following Social Committee members to offer your help to volunteer for the project which suits you best: Angela Page, Janilyn Daily, Dianne Gorvin or Rhonda Littlefield. You can easily contact them at Crestlake.org.

A special THANK YOU goes to St. Joseph IGA for contributing to the volunteer bandwagon by generously donating cookies, apple cider, cups, plates and napkins for this event.

So gather your loved ones and wow your neighbors with your Halloween garb. See for yourself what goofy goblins, whacky witches and creepy characters are lurking in Crestlake. It’s sure to be a fun time for all, so don’t forget the camera and come on over to the Pavilion on Sunday the 28th at 3:00 to partake in the Halloween festivities.

See You There!

P.S. Be sure to share the above Halloween Parade and Gathering info with your neighbors. The more the merrier!

P.P.S. At this time there are only about 45 residents who have signed up to receive the Association newsletter. Be sure to encourage your neighbors to visit crestlake.org and sign up to receive future announcements via email.
