PONDS AND COMMONS
NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH
The children enjoyed playing the Bean Bag, Ladder Ball and Safety Trivia games. The parents and some of the service providers appreciated having safety information available to pick up and take home. Everyone enjoyed the free beverages provided by St. Joseph IGA along with the use of their trailer so the beverages could be kept cold. We all enjoyed the free pop corn which is always well received.
Many pictures of the activities have been posted in the Photo Gallery on Crestlake.org. We hope you enjoy them.
We really appreciate all the work that the committee put into planning, marketing, copying, collecting materials and working at the Event.
In the last newsletter, we requested that anyone who was interested in having a Christmas decoration contest and party to contact a Neighborhood Watch representative. No one responded to this request so the contest and party have been cancelled.
Mark your calendars for the Crestlake Halloween Parade and Festivities. This fun-filled event is scheduled for Sunday, October 24 from 2-4 p.m. and will be held at the Crestwood Park pavilion. Rhonda Littlefield has graciously taken on the leadership for planning this activity. Watch for more details about this event on Crestlake.org and in the October newsletter.
NEWSLETTERS
Newsletters sent via email are the primary method of communicating with Crestlake property owners. However, only about half of Crestlake families have signed up to receive these newsletters. Please remind your neighbors to visit Cestlake.org and sign up to receive additional announcements like this via email. Newsletters and meeting reminders will be emailed regularly.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
If you have been reading this newsletter this year, you know that the Crestlake Board of Directors has a vacancy that the Board has been attempting to fill all year. It has been suggested that the Board of Directors be reduced from 9 to 7 members to make it easier to fill the Board positions.
A change in the number of Board Members would require a change in the Crestlake Homeowners’ Association By-Laws. A change of this magnitude must be approved by a vote of the Homeowners’ Association membership.
If you have an opinion about this issue, please contact one of the Board of Directors to let them know whether you support the reduction in the number of Board members or not.
