Muskrats have returned to Grand and Park Ponds. Please remind your children that muskrats carry diseases and should not be touched at anytime.
A trapper who is licensed to trap muskrats as a hobby is being sought to again try to trap the muskrats during trapping season, 11/5/2010 – 1/25/2011. If you know of anyone who is licensed as a hobbyist to trap muskrats, please encourage that person to contact Elmer Nicklas through the CHOA hotline.
The Fourth Annual Crestlake Halloween Parade and Festivities was a big success. The children were darling and seemed to have a great time. Rhonda Littlefield and her committee did a wonderful job and deserve our heartfelt thanks.
NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH
The Holidays are here. Please remember to keep your car locked and to avoid leaving packages or valuables in your car where they can be seen.
There have been three crimes reported from late October through mid-November in St. Joseph. There was an allegation of arson related to a barn fire earlier this month. There was also a home invasion where $800 worth of electronics was stolen on Nov. 5. In addition, a purse was stolen out of an unlocked car. Please note that none of these incidents happened in Crestlake but they did happen in St. Joseph. Any problem in our village should be a concern for all residents of St. Joseph.
Block Captains are still needed for Area 1 (501-613 Chestnut), Area 8 (Juniper Ct., Catalpa Ct. and 503-518 Winston) and Area 12 (N. Glover Ct. and S. Glover Ct.). If you live in one of these areas and are willing to volunteer to help make Crestlake a safer place to live or you know someone who might be willing to volunteer, please contact Ginny Bolan at 766-4443.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Election of new officers for the Crestlake Homeowners’ Association will be held in January. The terms of some of the Board members will expire at that time and some of the Board plan to retire after several years of service to the Crestlake community. New Board members are needed to fill the soon to be vacated positions. Please volunteer or let the current Board know of anyone who might be interested in serving on the Board.
